A warm wind rushes through my hair
For spring, for love is in the air
Creator's boon after winter's night
As all the world is hope and light
The cherry trees are now in bloom
And hyacinths will blossom soon
The dead brown grass begins to mend
As winter's drought comes to an end.
For spring has come
The birds all sing
Over all creation
Smiles the King
And joy from sorrow
Leaps from ground
Our souls are praising
He hears the sound
In winter's depths I've wandered long
But now to wake with a faith-filled song
For ice-cold heart melts in the sun
With a King's great gift a soul was won.
So come the snow in season and time
I'll yet hold fast to this Christ of mine
For after winter death is past
New life in spring has come at last.
